U.S. CPSC eFiling Requirements Effective July 8, 2026

Beginning July 8, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will require electronic filing (eFiling) of safety certification information for certain consumer products imported into the United States. This does not create new safety requirements. It simply changes how existing certification information must be submitted to U.S. authorities.

Products Potentially Affected by CPSC eFiling

Products that may require CPSC eFiling include:

• Children's products
• Toys and plush dolls
• Baby products
• Products containing batteries
• Electronic devices
• Charging-related products
• Furniture
• Sporting goods
• Certain textile products
• Other products covered by CPSC regulations

Applicability depends on the product type, intended use, manufacturer information, and U.S. regulations.

K-Pop Merchandise

Most K-Pop albums, photocards, photobooks, and stationery products are not expected to be affected.

However, the following items may require additional certification information:

• Character dolls and plush toys
• Toy-related merchandise
• Light sticks with built-in batteries
• Electronic merchandise
• Products marketed for children

How Ontact Korea Is Preparing for These New Requirements ?

Ontact Korea provides proxy purchasing and international shipping services only.

We do not issue CPC (Children's Product Certificate) or GCC (General Certificate of Conformity) documents, and we cannot provide certification services. These documents must be supplied by the manufacturer or seller.

For items purchased through second-hand or person-to-person marketplaces (such as Bunjang, Karrot, Junggonara, X/Twitter, etc.), certification information may not be available. Customers are responsible for confirming this before purchase.

Addition of the "Ages 14+" Designation

To help customers comply with these new requirements, we will be adding an "Ages 14+" designation to applicable product categories on our platform. When entering your item information, please select this option whenever the product is intended for users aged 14 and above.

Customs Clearance assistance

Ontact Korea will provide reasonable assistance in the event of a customs inquiry by supplying available shipping documents, including the commercial invoice associated with your shipment.

However, U.S. Customs or other authorities may request additional product safety documentation for regulated items.

If the required documentation cannot be provided, customs clearance may be delayed, suspended, or the shipment may be returned. Responsibility for compliance with U.S. import regulations rests with the importer (buyer).

Before purchasing products intended for shipment to the United States, please ensure that the required documentation can be obtained if requested.

This policy may be updated if U.S. government or CPSC requirements change.

Please note that Ontact Korea cannot determine whether a specific product falls under CPSC regulations. Customers are responsible for verifying the compliance requirements applicable to their purchases.

This notice applies to all Ontact Korea shipping options & will be effective June 23rd 2026.
